The world of Nathan Lopez Romero
We're lucky to host on our walls works by Nathan Lopez Romero, painter.
Drop in to discover his world, the door is wide open, you won't be disappointed.
Nathan Lopez Romero captures everyday life with great care. His palette often narrows to two colours, creating scenes where light, time and weather mingle with fragments of architecture and vegetation.
He recomposes these moments on cut canvases juxtaposed on tarpaulin, building installations that feel almost meditative.
His practice, at the border between painting and sculpture, proposes an intimate reflection on his environment, where the Drôme, Réunion Island and Perpignan cross paths in a world swinging between auto-fiction and poetic projection.
Born in 1996 in Perpignan, Nathan Lopez Romero is a multidisciplinary artist. A graduate of Beaux-Arts de Valence in 2020, he has taken part in several group and solo exhibitions. He grew up beside the Mediterranean, which inspired his first paintings, a singular work at the border of abstraction and figuration. In 2022, he settled on Réunion Island where he continues his visual research, exploring the relationship between light, space and perception.
